| | | Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in New Zealand | | | The New Zealand Nanotechnology can be represented by the MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology which is one of New Zealand`s seven Centres of Research Excellence, established in 2002 with funding from the Ministry of Education with a total funding of 23 million NZ dollars for 3 years. The Institute is New Zealand's premier research organisation concerned with high quality research and research education in materials science and nanotechnology. It is hosted by the Victoria University of Wellington through the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences, and it is in partnership with the University of Canterbury and Industrial Research Ltd and with more principle investigators and researchers from the Massey University, the University of Otago and the Institute for Geological and Nuclear Sciences.
