The Nanophotonics Down Under 2009: Devices and Applications [SMONP 2009] will be an interdisciplinary meeting devoted to lasers and lights interacting with nano-dimensional objects for photonics applications such as photovoltaics, plasmonics, photonic crystals, biomedicine and data storage. Through this conference, we hope to bring together leading international specialists with the primary aim to collectively identify key challenges in the emerging applications of nanophotonics. The scientific program will consist of high school teachers\' workshop, invited and contributed talks, as well as posters.
The meeting will be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre, Melbourne Australia, on Sunday 21st June 2009.
