Introduction:

The 4th Asia Nano Forum Summit (ANFoS2007) will be held on Nov. 29-30th hosted by Malaysia. The event is co-organized and co-sponsored by the Japan National
Institute Advanced Science and Technology (AIST)and the Academia of Sciences Malaysia. ANFoS2007 will be held co-currently with the Nanotech Malaysia 2007. Details of program can be view at www.nano.gov.my.

Summary:

Minutes of ANF Annual General Meeting

1. The ten founding members agreed to open ANF membership to those in attendance.
2. Approved UAE as a new ANF Network Member Economy
3. Inviting APO as a new ANF Network Member
4. Every individual present agreed to be ANF members on behalf of their organizations and members agreed on one economy one vote
5. Treasurer will work on the budget by end of 2007 to ensure sufficient funds (min. 50k SGD) to sustain ANF operation for 2008 and will develop suitable membership fee mechanism
6. ANF has received the 1st founding membership fees from India, Thailand and Australia in cash on Nov. 30th 2007
7. Proposed two new Working Groups on Water and Energy issues. Thailand will coordinate Working Group on water and UAE on energy.
8. ANF Executive Committee approved Dr KW Lim to be Assistant Treasurer, and together with the Secretary Dr Lerwen Liu to be the two Singapore based Signatories for the ANF bank account in Singapore.
9. The committee agrees the Treasurer to decide on the authorization maximum limit of bank transaction
10. Host of ANFoS2008- UAE will send a proposal
11. Access to ANF website for key infrastructures and key centers.
12. Coordination of ANF network through Secretariat
13. Set charters/framework for Working Group
14. Commercialization engaging APO
15. Continuation of Asia Nanotech Camp and find mechanism to finance it, attract multinational and business community. ROC is willing to host the next Asia Nanotech Camp in Taiwan in 2009.
16. Terry Convenes the Water Working Group to coordinate inter-economy benefits and joint projects
